CDJ
CDJ
is open to young people of secondary school age. There are lots of exciting
things on offer, why not come along and see what you’re missing? If you’re wondering what CDJ means,
that’s our secret, you’ll have to come along and find out . . .
. . . . . . !
So, what’s on offer for CDJ members? All groups are open to everyone
so come along and see what you think.
CDJ on Sunday mornings
We
meet in the upper room on a Sunday morning during the service
.
You’ll get a taste of what being a Christian is all
about, there’ll be lots of activities, discussions about things in
the Bible, we’ll be using film clips and
music to help us along the way. There’ll be the excitement of seeing
if you can win the prize for being “first to the verse” and an
opportunity to earn nice things to eat if you can remember the memory verse
each week!
We will be starting to use the Rock Solid 2 course from
January (created by Youth for Christ). Elizabeth, Andrew and Marc will be
doing the teaching sometimes altogether, sometimes in smaller groups.
CDJ on Sunday
evenings
Sunday evenings are for those people who’d like to look
into things a bit more deeply. We will be using a combination of the Mettle
material (created by Youth for Christ) and other issues as a base for
discussion sessions. There’s a lot of discussion, activities and
thinking so come along and see what you think.
CDJ Bible Study - We will be starting a new Bible study group,
once a month, on the third Sunday of the month 5:15pm-6:15pm. We’ll
be starting with the book of Revelation. Check the CDJ programme for further details.
Social Events
All the social events are open to all members of CDJ. We run
regular film evenings and other social events. If there is something you
think we ought to be trying please let Marc know and we’ll do our best.
